MCU: When Worlds Collide Instructions
MCU: When Worlds Collide is here! This is the first Fanedit by u/Jax-El and u/IllusiveDreams. Thank you for the interest! We have worked so hard on this the past few months. We hope you enjoy the MCU in a way you never have before. Although the original estimate was 18 hours, the final version is 24 hours (34 GB total). We understand this is long and contains large files. But we wanted to do the best “first pass” we possibly could.
The entire MCU consists of 17 films. This is A LOT of information to tackle for a first Fanedit. The MCU is incredibly dense and consistent. Finding anything to remove was difficult, let alone restructuring and scripting each phase. The only caveat is that this is not a chronology. While many events happen chronologically, it is sometimes not important to be shown as such. However, films in each phase are interlaced. If this is odd to you, I promise it wears off quickly. Watching this with a friend who had only seen some of the movies was an incredible experience. I hope you all have the same experience.
If you don’t have time to watch all of the parts before Infinity War, I HIGHLY recommend going to 1:58:24 in Part 10 to watch u/IllusiveDreams MCU tribute. If you do have time to watch them all, SAVE this to the end. It is brilliant and gives me chills every time. (We hope to separately upload this to YouTube, so look for that.)
Feel free to ask any questions. More information and updates are below. If anyone has specific MCU questions or fan theories they would like to discuss, I have been DEEPLY ingrained in the MCU for the last 6 months, so I have an opinion about pretty much everything (including the Soul Stone’s location). Also let us know your feedback and improvements. We have prepared ourselves for criticism and praise. This is for you all. We want it to be perfect. All forms of criticism is valuable, but the most so is of narrative structure and scripting. We have the above mentioned accounts on Reddit and on Fanedit.org (my name is JaxEl there).

MEGA has data transfer limits and bandwidth limits. There are two options when your limit is reached:
Wait enough time so your bandwidth limit comes back up (variable time based on many factors within MEGA.)
Use the techniques and methods in this link. There are many additional methods online.
MEGA BANDWIDTH LIMIT FIX:
We have many more ideas for this to improve. Things coming in the future:
More “Marks” as we get Black Panther, Infinity War, and SHIELD.
More condensing of films and better story telling.
Website with more information and easier access to messages.
Website will include information about my process and how to get into fanediting. I have a passion for this and want the community to grow.
Submission to Fanedit.org and box art.
Some caveats:
Sources did not always cooperate, so some films have differing degrees of “black bars” on one side or skinny widescreen bars. The IMAX to widescreen switches can be jarring at times, but that is how the film is distributed.
Some footage stutters. We are attempting to find a solution for this. We believe it is a source fps issue and will be fixed in the future. While it is annoying, we decided not to dig too far right now.
Audio can be jarring at times. 17 movies with different sources and different styles is difficult to manage. Sorry if you have to keep a finger on the volume. This will be improved later.
In addition to this edit, we have plans to work together on a few more franchises. If you have any suggestions, let us know.
Lastly, I would like to give some special shout-outs:
u/Dirty30m for creating the MCU: A Chronology (http://tdmedina21.wixsite.com/mcu-a-chronology/news). His work inspired me to become interested in fanedits. Since then, I have become an active member of the Fanedit.org community and have found a new passion through this incredible art form.
Marvel for inspiring us to greater than we think we can be.
Anyone on the internet that has made a MCU chronology video or document, timeline, wiki entry, fan theory, film transcription, etc. MANY sources around the internet were used in research of this project.
Anyone who has made a video or tutorial about screenwriting, scripting, editing, act structure, story structure, narratives, etc. MANY hours were spent researching film as an art, both technical and subjective.
Everyone who will watch this and give feedback. We want this to be the go-to MCU review film. PLEASE help us improve this by giving suggestions and letting us know what you loved!
